Trio Catarina plays a traditional Forro from the Northeast of Brazil. It’s a style called Forro Pe De Serra, where the instrumentation consists of a Triangle, a little bass drum called Zabumba, and an Accordion. All these instruments have a European background, but once in the hands of a Brazilian from the region, this unique combo merges into this unique style that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide.

Trio Catarina is Mauro Refosco on ZabumbaDavi Vieira on Triangle, and Andre Santana on Accordion PS- Andre Santana will be stepping in the accordion chair for this show since Felipe had a previous engagement.

Location: The home of WMI Board Co-Chair Daisy Paradis on 71st Street between Lexington and Third Avenues. You will receive the exact address in your confirmation email!
