World Sacred Music Festival in Fes
This is Afropop Worldwide's report on the Sacred Music Festival in Fes, Morocco, in 2004.

In 2004, the Afropop Worldwide team visited Fes, Morocco, for the 10th anniversary of the Sacred World Music Festival. This program reprises mesmerising performances of Sufi trance music, Moroccan Andalusian music, gnawa healing music and a blow-away performance of Pakistani qawwali music from Maher and Sheher Ali. This edition of the festival also saw the first performance of Youssou N'Dour's Egypt project. That album, sampled here, won Yousou a Grammy the next year. This was one for the history books! Produced by Sean Barlow and Banning Eyre.
