Our friends and colleagues at the wonderful Cumbe: Center for African and Diaspora Dance in Brooklyn present TRANSCEND, the culminating performance of Dance for Joy! Come join them for a day of joy, culture, and community, as participants experience the power of dance and drumming featuring eight groups from across the African Diaspora. Embark on a powerful journey with teaching artists and students who have come together to create vibrant choreographed performances that embody the energy of transcending. Performances will be followed by an after party featuring Julio Jean and his Band. The Afropop team has much enjoyed past Cumbe performances/gatherings. We'll be in the house again.
