I went to the show in Houston last year and was amazed by the professionalism and promptness of the musicians. It was fun to hear three hours of hits live. I wish the promoters and musicians all the success in the world, they delivered what they promised and started on time. I wish every musical promoter and concert functioned at their level.

BUT Flavour does not perform highlife. I am not going to get into an old school is better than new school argument, but please don’t confuse the highlife of the Sweet Talks or the African Brothers with Flavour’s autotuned keyboard driven pop.

If you like Afrobeats this is a must. If you’re stuck in the past (like me) it may or may not change your mind. Most importantly, these guys won’t just chop your money.
