Love interacting with people on the web? Then you may qualify to join us as a Message board host. Welcome members and visitors to our site, keep the discussions rolling and share your expertise, and keep our web links to the worldwide web community updated on afropop.org. You don't need to be a computer expert. If you have the time and interest, we will train you.

Photographer:
Calling all undiscovered photographic geniuses! We're always looking for interesting photos from peoples' travels in African and the Diaspora, or from concerts. We can use many types of photograph. If you look at the pages in our database and you think you have a better photograph of any existing artist, or an alternative to a CD cover we've posted in lieu of a photo, send it to us. If we like it, we'll post it and credit you. Most write ups in our database have a large photo on the first page you see, and a smaller one on the next page. Specs: 72dpi .jpg files. Large: 255x255 pixels, small: 150x150 pixels. But we can also post specialized photo essays if we think the photos are hot. So show us what you got!

Writers:
If you've looked through our database, you've no doubt noticed a few things missing. If you've got the inside line, or any line, on an Artist, Country, Region, Style or Instrument that we don't have, why not do the write-up yourself? Or submit additional material for one we do have. Model your entry after one you like. We're not sticklers for consistency. If you know what you're talking about, we'll edit and post your writing, and you too can become a famous internet author! We also accept longer features on particular subjects, including writing you've published elsewhere as long as you own the rights. Just attach a word processing file to an email message and send it to info@afropop.org. Also looking for:

CD Reviewers:
What are the Afropop CDs you love or hate? Send us a review! Describe and evaluate the music on any CD from Africa or the Diaspora. If we like it, we'll post it and credit you. Reviews should be between 100 and 400 words. If you don't find the CD in our database, give us the artist, label, release date, and any other information you think is relevant.

Concert Reviewers:
Seen any great concerts lately? Even if the concert wasn't great, tell our community about it. Tell us the date, location and venue of the concert, and then let Ôer rip. Be vivid! You can just say what happened, or you can say what was good or bad, but if you make judgments, tell us why. We like specifics. Between 100-500 words is good. Scanned photographs (72-dpi jpg) are even better, but strictly optional.

Interviewers:We're always looking for interviews with musicians, both fresh and archival ones. We can post transcripts, or if you've got the gear to make high-quality recordings, we might want to use some of your sound on an Afropop Worldwide radio program. We're happy to offer mentoring/training to fledgling radio journalists. If this is something you do, or something you want to do, talk to us!

Are you willing to always be nice from the fingers down? Want to be involved in promoting greater understanding of the contemporary musical cultures of Africa and the African Diaspora If so, we urge you to apply for one of these positions, and see your name up in lights!

Please contact us (at info@afropop.org with "Volunteer" in the subject line) for more information.
