We are pleased to invite you to our next Club Afropop event featuring the critically acclaimed "world blues" of singer-songwriter Markus James performing with Mali's Mamadou Sidibe, master of the kamele ngoni.
The performance will be Sunday June 20 at Joe's Pub in New York City. We encourage fathers to be the ones to choose the music for this Father's Day Special, and bring your kids for an evening that will open their ears and eyes to a part of the world with profound connections to American culture.
Prior to the 7:30 performance will be a 6:30 screening of Markus James' film "Timbuktoubab" that recently premiered on LinkTV throughout the U.S.
This Club Afropop event will then move on to the street at Joe's Pub outdoor cafe to meet and greet the artists and to hang out with fellow Club Afropoppers.
We are holding a block of tickets. They are $12 each. You can reserve yours by calling Afropop at 718-398-2733 or by emailing us at info@afropop.org. Or you can order tickets directly through Joe's Pub. See below.
