Americans weren't the only ones celebrating President-elect Barrack Obama's victory on November 4th, 2008.  International communities, especially those in Africa, were also passionately engaged with the United States' choice for their 44th President.

In Kenya, President Mwai Kibaki declared November 6th, 2008 a public holiday in celebration of President-elect Obama's profound achievement.  This honor highlights the pride that Kenyan people have for Obama and his Kenyan heritage.
