World Music Productions invites you to join Ned Sublette for an information and orientation dinner for people interested in

AFROPOP WORLDWIDE'S CUBAN MUSIC & POPULAR CULTURE SEMINAR
(November 22-December 2, 2001)

Ned Sublette is one of the U.S.'s leading researchers on contemporary Cuban music. A longtime contributor to public radio's Afropop Worldwide, Ned is currently writing a book about the history of Cuban music for A Cappella Press. Ned will host Afropop's Seminar in Cuba. Ned's relationships with Cuban artists and his vast knowledge of the musical terrain there will open doors for Afropop visitors to Cuba. A lively storyteller, Ned will answer questions from those interested at our September 9th dinner.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our visit to Cuba is completely LEGAL. It is a people-to-people cultural exchange activity licensed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. . Participants will travel under an institutional license issued precisely for such purposes by that Office to our partner, CRAG. Please be aware that enforcement of laws against illegal travel to Cuba is being stepped up.
