Living in New Orleans, part 2: After the Failure

New Orleans is a riot of musicians and small labels. The best way to find anything made in New Orleans is to check with the Louisiana Music Factory (www.louisianamusicfactory.com), a record store specializing in local music (though they don't handle hiphop).

Here are a list of albums heard on Afropop Worldwide's Living in New Orleans, part 2: After the Failure:

Various artists "Voice Of The Wetlands" (Rykodisc 2005)

Leroy Jones "New Orleans Brass Band Music" ( 2005)

Various artists "Ulitmate New Orleans" (Mardi Gras Records 2005)

Coco Robicheaux "Spiritland" (Orleans Records 1994)

Joe Krown Organ Combo "Livin' Large" (Independent 2005)

Neville Brothers "Walkin' In The Shadow Of Life" (Back Porch 2004)

Sunpie "Zydeco's Got Soul" (BFR Records 2004)

B.G. "The Heart Of Tha Streetz, Vol. 2" (Koch Records 2006)
