makossa and soukous dance rhythms have made Petit Pays a big name in his "little country."  Born in Cameroon\'s port city and economic capital, Douala, in 1967, Adolphe Claude Moundi adopted the name Petit Pays when he started his professional music career in the late 1980\'s.  Working with producer Eyabé Kwedi, Pays has written hundreds of songs and seen several top the charts in West Africa and Cameroon.  He plays most albums with his band, "Les Sans Visas," or The Sans Visa International.

In Cameroon Petit Pays has a reputation for pushing the limits with racey lyrics and wild antics.  The cover of his 1999 release, King of Makossa Love (Sonod), depicts a nearly naked Pays, and he dressed in drag for his La Monako (RTM) album cover.  Today he is a fixture in the Cameroonian music scene, as much for his music as for his stunts.
