Various Artists The Soul of Black Peru Luaka Bop, 1995

A truly remarkable anthology of Afro-Peruvian music, the result of David Byrne's and Yale Evelev's tireless work with Baca which resulted in an album that features Peru's greatest artists of the past three decades (Susana Baca, Peru Negro, Chabuca Granda, Eva Ayllon, Nicomedes Santa Cruz and others) performing the anthems of Black Peruvian music.
