One of the most joyous releases of 2011, Damily's acoustic take on the boogieing southern Madagascar dance music style called tsapika is breathless and beautiful. Damily's fleet riffing, and the keening, ecstatic vocal hooks on these songs ride on the updraft of a taut, feisty rhythm section. A perfect marriage of lyricism and groove.
