The late Lee "Scratch" Perry, one of the creators of dub reggae and a producer for iconic artists like Bob Marley and the Wailers, shaped the course of contemporary music such that it is impossible to imagine how punk, ska, hip-hop, or house might have emerged without him. In 2020, Scratch joined with seminal electronic duo Mouse on Mars for a bold final experiment: a journey into immersive audio realized via the hyper-fidelity of next-generation Spatial Sound. Mixed by MOM and mapped exclusively to National Sawdust's custom Meyer Sound System, this premiere listening event offers intimate access into the creative process of a true musical giant. Attendees will experience MOM and Perry's collaboration through unreleased tracks for an evening as brilliant and undefinable as the legend himself. Spatial...No Problem is curated by Louis Chude-Sokei in partnership with Carnegie Hall's 2022 Afrofuturism Festival.
