Veteran Ghanaian reggae singer and roots rocker Rocky Dawuni is playing a show next Thurs., Aug. 13 at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center with vinyl-spinning DJ Sweet V. Dawuni’s latest album, Branches of the Same Tree, was released by Cumbancha this past spring, and Afropop’s Katherine Cohen called it “a cohesive, coherent vision, expertly executed.” Dawuni is both a singer and a committed humanitarian activist, who serves as U.N.
